The jacket features a detachable inner padded layer, which can be worn alone as a quilted vest on warmer days. It can be reattached internally with zippers to create a padded waxed jacket. Along with elasticated armholes, hand-warmer pockets, and a wind flap, this is perfect for extra cold days. On warmer days, when you still want the robustness and waterproofing of a waxed jacket but without the extra weight, you can remove the inner vest. Ventilation holes under the arms and in the pockets make the jacket breathable, allowing moisture to escape and keeping you as dry as possible. The waxed surface makes the jacket waterproof, and with the detachable waxed hood, you'll stay dry in typical British rainy weather. 

The inner lining is made of 100% cotton, with a matching tartan pattern.
