MTM Suit Loro Piana Wool-Silk-Linen (6062)
The design in the picture is for inspiration only, you are of course 100% free to design your suit as you wish, double-breasted, single-breasted, peak or notch lapel, pockets etc.
Trousers can be with/without pleats, side adjusters/buckles instead of a belt, etc.
Loro Piana is known for extremely high raw material quality (fiber selection) and very uniform weaving/finish.
This typically means: beautiful drape, clean surface, good colors and high comfort, but also that you often pay for "perfection" and not necessarily for extra durability.
Loro Piana Summertime Wool Silk Linen Fabric
-
Fiber composition: 71% wool, 15% silk, 14% linen
-
Characteristics:
-
Medium-weight fabric, at 250 g/m — perfect for spring/summer.
-
Good balance of structure (wool), luster (silk) and freshness/texture (linen).
- Use: Primarily for summer suits and blazers that need to be elegant but also comfortable in warm weather.
-
✅ Strengths: Very versatile summer balance, nice draping, and very breathable with its light and open weave.
⚠️ Drawbacks: Linen causes some creasing, silk makes the fabric more delicate, but as wool makes up the majority, creasing is very limited.
🧠 When to choose this fabric
-
If you want elegance + luxury finish without going full silk-look.
-
Perfect for blazers and light suits, where the silhouette needs to be fluid and refined.

More versatile summer suit base: combines structure, comfort and a light texture
-
Suitable for travel, summer events and offices in warm climates.
-
It feels a bit more business casual, as linen is present.
💡 Practical weight and usage advice

Mid-to-open weave: More air, but also more texture and a bit less formal — typically what “Summertime” represents.
