Le Galion is a French perfume house founded in 1930 by the chemist and perfumer Prince Murat.
However, the house had its real breakthrough when perfumer Paul Vacher took over in 1935. Vacher was already an acclaimed creator, known for his work with brands such as Lanvin and Dior.
Under his leadership, Le Galion became known for sophisticated and elegant fragrances, which gained popularity both in France and internationally. Among the most iconic scents was "Sortilège" from 1936, which became a symbol of elegance and glamour in its time.
In the 1980s, the brand almost disappeared from the market, but it was revived in 2014, when Le Galion was relaunched with respect for the house's classic heritage. Many of the original recipes were rediscovered and reinterpreted to bring the brand into the present without losing its historical and luxurious character.
