The design in the picture is for inspiration only. You, of course, have 100% control over how your suit is designed: double-breasted, single-breasted, peak or notch lapel, pockets, etc.

Trousers can be with/without pleats, side adjusters/buckles instead of a belt, etc.

Loro Piana is known for extremely high raw material quality (fiber selection) and very uniform weaving/finish.

This typically means: beautiful drape, clean surface, good colors and high comfort, but also that you often pay for “perfection” and not necessarily for extra durability.

Loro Piana Summertime Wool Silk Linen Fabric

  • Typical fiber composition: Approx. 65–70% wool, 15–20% silk, 10–15% linen (+ a little elastane in some variations).

  • Characteristics:

    • Medium-weight fabric, around 250–270 g/m — perfect for spring/summer.

    • Good balance between structure (wool), luster (silk), and freshness/texture (linen).

    • Use: Primarily for summer suits and blazers that need to be elegant but also comfortable in warm weather.

Strengths: Very versatile summer balance, nice drape, and very breathable with its light and open weave.
⚠️ Drawbacks: Linen causes some creasing, silk makes the fabric more delicate.

🧠 When to choose this fabric

  • If you want elegance + a luxurious finish without going for a full silk look.

  • Perfect for blazers and light suits, where the silhouette needs to be fluid and refined.

  • Less robust over time — better for occasions and office wear rather than daily use.

  • More versatile summer-suit base: combines structure, comfort, and a light texture

  • Suitable for travel, summer wear, and offices in warm climates.

  • It feels a bit more business casual, as linen is prominent.

💡 Practical weight and usage advice

  • 250–280 g/m: Ideal for spring/summer use in blended fibers

  • Light weave

  • Mid-to-open weave: More air, but also more texture and a bit less formal — typically what "Summertime" represents.
