We do not make bespoke suits, and before you rush off, read why in the article below.
Here we will describe the different "terms" so that you, even if you are not a professional "nerd", will still understand what's what.
Made-to-order: (abbreviated MTO) is perfect for you who fit a standard size, but still want to put your own touch on the suit (costs 10% less than Made-to-measure)
How it works: Here we find the best jacket/trouser size, after which you choose the fabric yourself and design it according to your own wishes (shoulder, lapel, pockets, lining, etc.). For a fee, we can then make the final adjustments when your clothes arrive (typically trouser or sleeve length). If too many adjustments are needed, we always recommend that you have MTM made, as we describe right below.
Made-to-measure: (abbreviated MTM), is the correct term for a suit made precisely to your desired measurements, designed exactly to your taste.
How it works: We have standard suits hanging in various sizes and shapes, and we start from the best combination (trousers, jacket, possibly waistcoat), from which we measure the desired changes. Since your suit is not yet produced, there is almost nothing that cannot be changed or altered, and even if the best possible standard size should fit really well, you will find that there is almost always something that can be improved.
For example, it could be that the sleeve "wrinkles" on the back of the arm, and the solution would therefore be to rotate the sleeve in the armhole, too large or small shoulders, or that the chest piece "gapes" and therefore protrudes from the chest, just to mention the typical problems that customers often face when buying a ready-made suit. Often it will not be possible to change this when you buy a ready-made suit, but with MTM, nothing is made in advance, and therefore (almost) anything is possible.
Bespoke: This happens with a real tailor, and not in shops as many others try to tell. If you want this experience, we can highly recommend Karina Mott, who has our highest recognition, or perhaps best known, Peter Unden. Suits are made from scratch, and not based on a standard size, and are therefore much more demanding both professionally and especially in terms of time, and therefore it is only fair that the price is radically different. Expect a starting price around 18-20,000 and up. If the production leaves the location/shop, it is not bespoke, no matter what the nice salesperson might try to tell you.
We believe that a good long-term customer relationship: is based on mutual trust and a high professional standard, and therefore believe that we as professionals should inform about this, and not start a new relationship based on misinformation or directly incorrect professional information.
That is precisely what distinguishes us from many of our colleagues.
Now that we have cleared that up, we will provide a little more information below about the various MTM products, which are exclusively European.
Lubiam:

Some of the finest Italy has to offer, and for those who do not compromise.
All production still takes place in Italy, more specifically the city of Mantova, where the whole story began in 1911.
Canvas interlining in horsehair, sewn in, is standard, and many of the finishing details are completed by hand.
The fabrics come from the best Italian weaving mills.
Starting price for Made-to-measure suits 12,500,-
Connoisseur:
Comes from one of Europe's most recognized suppliers, who exclusively supplies luxury retailers worldwide. They place incredibly high demands on their dealers, and are therefore very proud to be able to offer this product.
As standard, horsehair canvas interlining is always included, either as semi-canvas (chest piece) or for an extra charge as full-canvas (all the way to the bottom).
Horsehair has a unique ability to adapt to your body, meaning your suit will fit even better over time once it has had a chance to mold itself (a bit like when you buy a good pair of handmade shoes). In addition, you can "breathe" through your suit, and therefore more easily get rid of excess heat.
The fabrics come from the best Italian weaving mills, such as Loro Piana, Ferla, Drago, etc.
Prices start at 6,000,-
Jesper Klemens:
No product is better than the person taking the measurements. Jesper, who also runs the store, has been in the fashion industry for over 30 years and takes pride in learning every day, so he always has his finger on the pulse.
This applies especially to the professional level, in stark contrast to the many young and unskilled employees who are now found in many shops and department stores. Despite his "grey streaks" in his hair, he is still very fashion-oriented and therefore well-equipped to advise both young and mature customers.
Advice and service are always free :-)
